As part of the implementation of the “Care Economy in Context” project, aimed at deepening the understanding of the size, shape and context of care economies worldwide, CREG is organizing a social accounting matrix calibration workshop in Senegal, in the Thiès region, from May 28 to June 1, 2024.This session follows the previous social accounting matrix construction workshop on the care economy, held last April, which took into account paid care work.
The aim of this workshop is to calibrate the social accounting matrix, this time integrating unpaid care work for Kenya and Senegal.
At the end of this workshop, the production of analysis reports on the economics of care for the two countries, integrating unpaid care work, is expected.
